Joyful Hill Country Wedding at The Retreat at Balcones Springs
We’re still swooning over CeCe and Charlie’s vibrant and joy-filled wedding outside Marble Falls, Texas! It was a hill country wedding full of funky vibes, fun summer camp memories, and floral design magic from the team here at Flora Fetish. As an Austin TX wedding florist, we live for creative weddings like this—where love, laughter, and color collide!
CeCe and Charlie met the old-school way… online! Their first date was at a Flatland Cavalry concert, and they’ve been inseparable ever since. Their wedding reflected their fun-loving personalities perfectly—every detail was authentic to them, from the custom seating chart made from vinyl records to the wild dance party under the disco balls.
Charlie and Cece’s ceremony took place at St. Paul the Apostle Church in Horseshoe Bay, a location rich with personal meaning. The couple shares a close friendship with the church’s pastor, adding a deeply personal and heartfelt layer to the celebration. Charlie’s family has been part of the St. Paul’s community for over 30 years, making it a place woven into the fabric of their lives. The ceremony felt like a beautiful full-circle moment—intimate, reverent, and surrounded by generations of love and connection.
They chose The Retreat at Balcones Springs for their reception because of its fun, laid back, summer camp vibes—it allowed guests to stay on-site, enjoy camp activities, and spend quality time together all weekend long. From lakeside views to hiking trails, it was the perfect setting for a relaxed yet lively wedding weekend.
Every detail of CeCe and Charlie’s Hill Country wedding was designed to reflect their fun-loving style and unique love story. From the custom bridal accessories to their one-of-a-kind send-off, the day was full of meaningful, personal touches.
Instead of a traditional wedding cake, guests were treated to the couple’s favorite cookies, baked with love by their trusted baker. The seating chart made a playful statement with vintage vinyl records—bringing in a retro vibe that tied perfectly into the couple’s love of music. Florals were thoughtfully styled to complement each moment, adding color, texture, and beauty to the experience.
CeCe’s custom white cowboy boots and bespoke hat added a bold, personal twist to her bridal look, perfectly suited for a Texas celebration. As the evening wrapped up, the couple shared a private last dance under a canopy of glowing disco balls—an emotional, intimate moment surrounded by flowers and soft light.
This spring wedding brought the heat—both in temperature and in energy! The atmosphere was electric. Picture this: beats bumping, booties shaking, guests making it rain (literally!), Flat Stanley’s of guests that couldn’t attend, and the good vibes off the charts. The vibe was exactly how the couple wanted it: funky, vibrant, and joyful.
CeCe gave us her inspiration and a green light to have fun with it—and the result was floral magic. Our favorite projects are the ones where we can truly collaborate with the couple and go bold, and the result for this one was a disco themed reception full of color and bold flowers.
✨ Our favorite floral moment: A show-stopping hanging installation over the dance floor incorporated disco balls into the unique florals that brought dimension, drama, and a whole lot of “wow” to the party. It was the perfect focal point and a perfect place for the couple’s private last dance!
“From a design perspective, Flora Fetish obviously knows what they are doing… but what really stood out was how easy they made the process. Whether it was the initial consultation, ongoing planning, or a quick wedding day pivot due to unexpected high winds, Flora Fetish delivered such beauty with ease, confidence, and unmatched expertise. We knew our flowers—and our sanity—were in great hands.”
As the night drew to a close, the couple shared a private last dance while guests lined up with sparklers in hand, lighting the path for CeCe and Charlie’s unforgettable wedding send-off. The warm glow, set against the Hill Country night sky, created a magical moment full of cheers, laughter, and celebration. But true to their adventurous spirit, the couple didn’t make their exit in a classic car—they hopped into an ATV, waving goodbye as they cruised off in true Texas style.
