7 Unique Austin Wedding Venues

At Flora Fetish, flowers aren’t just our craft—they’re our obsession, and as an Austin wedding & event florist, we’ve spent years designing celebrations that balance artistry, precision, and heart. What started as a small floral studio decades ago has grown into a creative home where we dream up intentional designs that feel as unique as the couples and events we serve.

Over the years, we’ve designed weddings and events in just about every corner of Austin: from historic mansions downtown to sleek glass pavilions and tucked-away Hill Country hideaways (including those venues that make you wonder if your GPS has truly betrayed you). Each space has its own character, and learning how to transform them with flowers has been one of our greatest joys.

If you’re in the midst of planning your big day and searching for the right venue, check out this florist’s-eye view of some of our favorite Austin wedding locations—each one beautiful in its own way.

Let’s go!!

Barr Mansion

Style: Historic | Organic | Zero-Waste

Location: East Austin / Springdale, about 20 minutes East of downtown Austin

Setting: Barr Mansion is where Old World charm meets modern sustainability. Just minutes from downtown Austin, it somehow feels like a countryside escape and the property offers multiple ceremony and reception spaces—blending the rustic Farmstead with the light-filled Artisan Ballroom. With lush gardens, deep history, and a true commitment to organic, zero-waste weddings, this venue is a standout.

Behind the Blooms: Ever thought about tricking your guests into attending a wedding by calling it an engagement party? Bailey and Tristin did—and we were in on the secret. While guests mingled in the ballroom, the grand lawn was completely hidden from view, so when the big announcement came, everyone was ushered through the garden paths only to discover a full ceremony waiting for them on the lawn. Thanks to Barr Mansion’s lush grounds and multiple event spaces, the surprise landed perfectly—without a single guest suspecting a thing.

Omni Barton Creek Resort & Spa

Style: Hill Country Luxury | High-End Resort

Location: West Austin / Barton Creek, about 25 minutes west of downtown Austin

Setting: For couples who want sweeping Hill Country views without sacrificing convenience, Omni Barton Creek delivers. With onsite guest rooms and a spa, it’s perfect for a wedding weekend. Multiple ceremony sites offer flexibility, but the crown jewel is the glass pavilion—walls of windows (that open on good weather days) overlooking the hills for a one-of-a-kind reception backdrop.

Behind the Blooms: On a normal day the ceremony space has the perfect hill country breeze but the day of Madeleine & Nathan’s wedding brought nearly gale-force winds—classic Texas unpredictability. But our couple, and our team, were ready, so we adapted designs on the fly to sit lower, anchored every arrangement we could, and even had our “arbor boys” discreetly steady the giant floral arch during the ceremony. Thanks to Omni Barton Creek’s distractingly jaw dropping beauty and thoughtful layout, we were able to pull off the day seamlessly. The couple and their guests enjoyed stunning views and a flawless celebration, winds and all.

Austin Country Club

Style: Elegant | Iconic Views | Country Club

Location: Westlake Hills, about 20 minutes North West of downtown Austin

Setting: Austin Country Club pairs a storied history with modern elegance, offering some of the most iconic views in the city. The clubhouse features sweeping windows that frame the 360 Bridge and Lake Austin which creates a one-of-a-kind backdrop for weddings. Inside, the ballroom is grand yet versatile, with a dramatic staircase entry, entry spaces, and bold entrance doors that makes for an unforgettable reveal. The manicured grounds flow seamlessly from ceremony spaces to cocktail terraces so couples have the flexibility to design their celebration with sophistication and ease.

Behind the Blooms: For Emma and Nick, a floating canopy of wisteria suspended above the dance floor, was their dream and after months of planning and collaboration with the engineering team at ACC, our designers executed an 8×8 overhead installation with more than 1,000 blooms. On the day of, five designers, four ladders, and hours of meticulous work brought the canopy to life. To balance the drama, we added towering head table florals and layered in an abundance of candlelight throughout the space. When the ballroom lights dimmed, the effect was breathtaking — a suspended, layered, garden of blooms that turned the room into a glowing, romantic dreamscape.

Commodore Perry Estate

Style: Historic Mansion | Garden Romance | Old World

Location: Hyde Park, about 10 minutes North of downtown Austin

Setting: Cool factor? Off the charts. Commodore Perry Estate is a European-inspired oasis minutes from downtown. The estate’s gardens, architectural details, and luxurious interiors (including the stunning Luties restaurant) make every photo pop. Guests can even stay onsite for a true retreat experience.

Behind the Blooms: For Breanna and Tyler, the goal was to use every corner of the estate. Their ceremony took place at the fountain, followed by cocktails on the sunken lawn. Dinner unfolded beneath a Sperry tent that echoed the old-world Italian feel, complete with still-life–inspired floral motifs. Then it was off to the chapel for dancing, champagne towers, and a full-on party. Each transition gave guests a new experience, and the estate’s varied spaces made it all flow seamlessly.

The Retreat at Balcones Springs

Style: Elevated Rustic | Laid-Back Luxury | Wedding Retreat

Location: Marble Falls / Smithwick, about 1 hour North West of downtown Austin

Setting: Think summer camp, but for adults—with luxury cabins, gourmet dining, and endless activities for guests. The Retreat at Balcones Springs is built for multi-day weddings, making it perfect for couples who want a full wedding weekend. Guests can explore the Hill Country on ATVs, take a dip in the lake with its giant blob, relax by the pool, or compete in archery, tennis, basketball, and more. With accommodations just steps away from every event, there’s no need to go anywhere for an afterparty—the celebration can go on all night.

Behind the Blooms: Tess and Dillon wanted an all encompasing full wedding weekend—two days and four events in total. We carefully repurposed and reimagined florals and décor from each event to create distinct yet cohesive experiences. By thoughtfully layering elements and leaning into the venue’s varied spaces, each gathering felt special, while behind the scenes everything flowed seamlessly. Guests never saw the moving parts, just a weekend that felt effortless and immersive.

Videre Estates

Style: Luxe | Lakeside | Ranch

Location: Wimberly, about 1 hour 5 minutes South of downtown Austin

Setting: Videre Estates blends modern elegance with Texas character. Once a private home and stables, the property has been transformed into an elevated retreat overlooking a serene private lake. The main venue features clean lines, natural light, and expansive windows that frame the overlook. The barn—crisp white with tall ceilings and a long, open format—offers another stunning space, ideal for rehearsal dinners or welcome parties. Guest rooms line the barn itself (a chic nod to its former life as horse stables), each uniquely designed to feel like a boutique hotel. From a vendor’s perspective, every detail has been thoughtfully planned—from guest flow to load-in—making it as functional as it is beautiful.

Behind the Blooms: Erin and Ashton’s celebration stretched across two days with two completely different looks. The rehearsal dinner took over the barn, where we designed a neon-disco-inspired runner down one long table—a striking contrast to the wedding day’s romantic vibe. Guests stayed onsite in the barn’s luxury stable suites, waking up just steps from the wedding. For the big day, we took advantage of every architectural detail: a floral curtain at the ceremony site, an overhead installation woven into the reception beams, and layered vignettes throughout the property so every corner felt intentional. With full creative freedom, we transformed Videre into a floral masterpiece that felt fresh and engaging at every turn. Trusting their Austin wedding florist really paid off!

The Grand Lady

Style: Victorian Estate | Modern Minimalism | Garden Elegance

Location: Manor / Webberville, about 30 minutes east of downtown Austin

Setting: The Grand Lady pairs a lovingly restored 1881 Victorian mansion with a modern reception hall awash in natural light. Spread across 20 acres of heritage oaks, the estate offers a mix of indoor and outdoor spaces—the mansion itself, a courtyard and ceremony lawn, and lush garden areas perfect for cocktail hour or intimate dinners. The mansion offers plenty of rooms and spaces for getting ready and gathering (photos here are a MUST), plus the soaring windows of the reception hall, the property balances timeless charm with contemporary design.

Behind the Blooms: Audra and Jason’s wedding was all about transformation. Inspired by their favorite greenhouse-style restaurant, this Austin wedding florist turned the reception hall into a verdant sanctuary: lush hanging plants framed the ceiling, greenery dripped down the walls, and tablescapes intertwined blooms with living plants. Our large inventory of specialty rental plants flowed through every part of the day—from ceremony to cocktail hour to dinner—layered seamlessly with the venue’s natural beauty. With floor-to-ceiling windows showcasing the landscape and a thoughtful rain plan (thanks, Texas weather), the design came alive as an immersive, one-of-a-kind greenhouse experience.

Let’s get flowering!
